Our entire country is blanketed in a veil of darkness. For it is in the darkness that scoundrels and scavengers prey upon the living. Their hideous actions can not be observed or understood because being creatures of the darkness... they blend in with the darkness, They are one with the darkness. They are the same. And when one lives in darkness for so long, they accept the darkness.. because they have not experienced the light. The way to stop them, to conquer them is to bring forth the light!
When our nation was born 232 years ago, our ancestors stated " We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Simple words, but words that shook the foundations of the earth at the time. Yet like so many things which erode over time, just as the pyramids of Egypt have eroded, these words are destined to become nothing but dust because they have been neglected by the stewards who were appointed by the people to preserve and protect them.
Life -- was first... everything else comes after. Without the acknowledgement of Life, the Respect for Life and the recognition that Life is a direct gift of the Great God Almighty himself... there can be no future.
According to various dictionaries, the word unalienable means "incapable of being repudiated" "incapable of being transferred or revoked by any person or government" yet every day in our our country - the USA - we have elected officials making attempts to stifle Life... to deny Human Life ... to restrict it, to deny it's dignity, its importance and even its mere mention.
There is a Culture of Death in America and it is destroying our families, our children and our country.
This week, Senator Barbara Boxer of California stopped a Senate Resolution welcoming Pope Benedict XVI, because it contained this phrase
"Whereas Pope Benedict XVI has spoken out for the weak and vulnerable, witnessing to the value of each and every human life;" http://www.politico.com/pdf/PPM42_poperesolution.pdf
She angrily fought and was successful in changing the above resolution to the following:

That's right, Senator Barbara Boxer and her supporters struck down the words "witnessing the value of each and every human life" from this resolution.
